Two campuses in Singapore, Nanyang Technological University and the National University of Singapore both occupied 11 in the ranking conducted by QS World University Ranking in 2020. In the ranking released on Wednesday (6/19) as well as making the two campuses become the best in ASIA.
While for the world's first rank won by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United States which for the eighth consecutive year became the best. Then followed by two other US universities, namely, Stanford University and Harvard in the second and third place, then Oxford University in England in fourth place.
Best rating in Indonesia
Furthermore, the best ranking in Indonesia is achieved by the University of Indonesia (UI), which sits at number 296 in the world. This UI rating dropped from the previous year, which was 292.
The second position was won by Gadjah Mada University (UGM) with a ranking of 320. UGM rankings rose from the previous year of 391.
Then in the third place was achieved by Bandung Technology Institute which ranked 331. This ITB ranking also rose from the previous year of 359.
The ranking conducted by QS uses several criteria, such as academic reputation, research conducted, the ratio between staff and students and how easily graduates get jobs.
