On average, the best and the flagship campus predicated world hundreds of years old. Best campuses in Asia, namely the University of Tokyo, for example, was founded in 1877. The history of the top universities in Europe, namely the
University of Oxford began in 1096.
Higher education institutions are older does have more advantages in the global rankings. They have more time for achievement and accumulate wealth. Now Postech an educational institution that is known to have a research focus in the field of Robotics and has an extensive network in the industry. Currently, Postech has 3,100 students.
- 2. Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland
Core academic activities at EPFL are education, research and technology transfer among more than 250 laboratories that they have. Currently there are 7,000 students and 3,000 faculty at seven colleges and research institutions in the EPFL.
KAIST was established in 1971 when the focus moves from the South Korean-made goods industries into high technology. In 2009, this institution joined the Information and Communications University. Currently there are more than 8,200 students and about 570 faculty.

The campus has 32,500 undergraduate and graduate students in engineering, business, science, social sciences and arts and humanities. Medical faculty in collaboration with Imperial College London.

Founded in 1976, UM is one of 13 young college in the Netherlands. There are currently approximately 16,000 students and 4,000 staff spread across a variety of courses. Established in 1965, the University of California, Irvine, now has 98 courses, more than 2,600 faculty and approximately 27,600 students.
- 8. Université Paris-Sud, France
One of the largest universities in France is home to 27 thousand students. He is also known for its strength saintifiknya and is the alma mater of two Nobel laureate in physics.
