Building, which was originally called the Centro Financiero Confinanzas and was given the nickname Tower of David, this is done by David Brillembourg in 1990. This building was even hailed will become a symbol of a bright financial future for Caracas.
Tower of David himself is the third tallest skyscraper in Venezuela. Unfortunately, the banking crisis and then make the plan abruptly halted in 1994. The government took control of the building and up to now the construction of the Tower of David was never resolved.
In addition to not have a lift, this building also does not have an electricity, water, no balcony railings, window and in some places not found a wall. Because this building has no elevator, people usually ride their bikes to go up and down from the floor 10. However, they have to use a ladder to climb to the next level. In the old building hallway, there is a warehouse, clothing stores, beauty salons, dentists and even daycare centers.
Some people even have a car that is placed in the parking lot of the building. The place is now occupied by seven hundred families which include more than 3,000 inhabitants. As reported amusingplanet, the residents claim that the Tower of David is much safer than any other place in Caracas and the rent was relatively very affordable. Each family rental buildings only charge $ 32 (about USD 361 760) per month.
